Did you know the story behind our logo? As Anatolian Rover Challenge organization, our mission is more than just to host a rover challenge. ARC aims to combine past and future, tradition and modern as we take strength from our roots, Anatolia.

 

Anatolia, the witness to the beginning of civilization, now hosts the beginning of new developments on Mars and the Moon. ARC undertakes the task of storytelling our purposes with its logo. The logo is designed with a calligraphic font, the art of shaping signs in a meaningful, harmonious, and dexterous way that once spread from Africa to the Mayans, Asia to Europe. The red color in the logo symbolizes Mars, one of our main target paths, the turquoise, the color that is well known as the Turkish blue, does represent our nation that brought ARC to life.

As our logo repeats itself in the background, a reference is made to the mosaic art. Mosaic art can be traced back to ancient times in Mesopotamia. The unique cultures and traditions of the civilizations have changed over thousands of years and enriched from Sumer to Rome, Byzantine to Ottoman, up to the present day. Although each piece of mosaics looks different from the other, they reveal an aesthetic appearance that forms a whole and finds meaning together.

Above all, the logo of ARC is inspired by the rich legacy left by Anatolia to the world. Therefore, as the heir of the east and the west, ARC takes firm steps toward the future by embracing our common past. In this journey, we establish a new connection between mars and the moon in harmony with the fusion of cultural heritage and modernity.
